Tshwane Welcomes International Students in the City!

The welcome ceremony will feature the world-acclaimed Mbongeni Ngema`s musical show Sarafina

The City of Tshwane will roll-out the red carpet to welcome international students in the city at a function to be held at 12pm on Sunday 5 March 2017 at the South African State Theater in the Pretoria CBD.

The welcome event will be part of the activities leading to the Tshwane Homecoming Lifestyle Festival that will be held on 2-5 March 2017 in the City of Tshwane.

The welcome ceremony will feature the world-acclaimed Mbongeni Ngema`s musical show Sarafina which will officially premiere at the South African State Theatre on Friday 10 March 2017.

The welcome ceremony will provide opportunity for international students from various countries to meet and greet with their High Commissioners and Ambassadors. International students from the various institutions in the City of Tshwane will also have an opportunity to connect with their fellow country men and women.

Every year South African colleges and universities opens up their doors of learning to about 80,000 students from various African and international countries. However, most international students come from the SADC countries with Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
