The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, will officiate at the graduation ceremony and the launch of the Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) SETA – Umgungundlovu TVET College Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment centre at Umgungundlovu TVET College, in Pietermaritzburg in the province of KwaZulu Natal on 11 April 2017.
The Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) SETA has initiated a pilot project on RPL which covers two NQF Level 4 programmes which are the Further Education and Training Certificate: Early Childhood Development (ECD) Further and Education and Training Certificate: Community Development.
This initiative seeks to determine and confirm the extent to which a candidate has achieved the required learning outcomes or competency standards associated with a specific qualification.
