How #ChampionsOfCare Balance the Pressures of Professional Rugby and Parenthood
Today, Dove Men+Care, one of Unilever’s men’s grooming brands, launched its new film series titled, ‘Care For Every Position You Play,’ which provides an inside look into how the world’s best Rugby players balance pursuing excellence on the pitch with parenthood at home.
The film series goes live ahead of a busy summer for rugby, with the brand celebrating and supporting eight international rugby unions around the globe, including the South African Rugby Union.
Centered around the brand narrative “care for every position you play,” the South African film features star player Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira as he shares insights into how he balances the on-and-off the pitch juggling act that rugby and parenthood pose.
“Pursuing a career in rugby has been a lifelong passion of mine and I’m beyond proud to represent South Africa on the pitch. Through my career, I’ve had to find balance between the demands on the field with the other big role in my life – being a dad,” said Tendai Mtawarira.
“Every day, I wake up and try to be the best role model I can be for my kids and impart positive life lessons on them – whether that’s on the field or off. I know that caring for my family shows real strength and inspires me be the best man I can be.”
