The City of Tshwane will host the inaugural Study in Tshwane Career Week on 13-20 May 2017 at the State Theatre and Lilian Ngoyi Museum Precinct in the Pretoria CBD. The event is primarily aimed at encouraging high school learners from the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality to choose the City of Tshwane as their study destination of choice.

The City of Tshwane enjoys a unique vantage point of being the capital of knowledge, research, and innovation with various private and public colleges and universities, as well as research and innovation centers. It is estimated that the city has about 500,000 study spaces for tertiary education studies at the various public and private institutions, including nursing and police training academies.
